Welcome back! We had a busy weekend around here with a birthday party at Shop & Play Cafe for this little dude:
Right after the birthday party we brought home 3 new family members:
Building (the Dark Blue Male Betta), Cheese (the Light Blue Female Betta), and Box (the snail). Bentley is responsible for these unusual names!
This week, I am featuring the Check You Out Stampset!
I originally picked this stampset up for two classes I was doing, one at our local school, and one (well, technically 2 of the 4), I was doing at our local library - and then I fell in love with it. It is so much fun!
The card that I am sharing today was the one from our local school. It unfortunately has discontinued designer series paper (this class was back in May before the new catalog had fully released, but during our preorder period), but it would be easy to duplicate with different paper. We originally had 60 people signed up to get thru in a few hours, so simple stamping was required!!!

Closely followed by the owl! The glasses are the tipping point.
To make this card:
1. Take a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Thick White card base. Cut and adhere a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of the navy designer series paper. Cut and adhere a 4" x 1" piece of the granny apple green designer series paper.*
2. Cut a piece of 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" Whisper White cardstock. Stamp the owl in Night of Navy, the bottom book in Mango Melody, the middle book and the library card in Granny Apple Green, and the top book and the glasses in Real Red. Stamp the Happy Birthday in Memento Black. Adhere to the card front.
3. Inside the card, stamp the bookworm in Mango Melody, then the book and the glasses in Night of Navy. Stamp Check You Out! in Memento Black.
*As the designer series papers are discontinued, I've listed the coordinating cardstock which would also work well!
